"I have been a State Farm customer with Steve Cannon’s agency since we moved to Georgia in 2006. Today, I met with Debby Meir to review my existing State Farm policies and to possibly find ways to reduce the cost of my insurance. Debby was very helpful by explaining why I should keep my umbrella policy. I decided to keep the policy. Debby explained how I could save money by taking a defensive driver class. I thought that was a good idea. I have a car that we drive less than 5,000 miles a year. Debby explained to me that State Farm has a program that will track the number of miles miles driven by my cars. If the annual mileage driven by one one car is less than 5,000, I can receive a discount with proper documentation. Debby helped me find a YouTube site for a defensive driving class and then a State Farm web sight which will assist me with information on how to document the annual mileages driven by each of my two cars. Debby did not apply any pressure to convince me to purchase additional policies or to increase coverage on an existing policy. I left the office completely satisfied with the results of my discussions with Debby. Thanks Debby for your assistance today."

"Steve Cannon - State Farm Insurance has gone above and beyond to provide amazing service. I have my personal insurance with them and work with them for our HOA insurance. "STAY AWAY! After a year of paying for insurance with my daughter on policy they said she wasn’t on. I asked how could that be I left the other insurance company because you were 45 dollars cheaper with her on my insurance. Before I had her on my insurance my wife and I were paying $300 less. Why would 2 adults who haven’t had a speeding ticket in over 15years no accidents in over 15 years be paying soo much."

"I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Steve Cannon State Farm Insurance. I initially called to add a new vehicle to my policy and spoke with Colin, who provided me with a quote. I asked him to email the quote, but he said due to a system change, he was unable to send it at that time. He told me to call back the next day to start the process and said he would leave detailed notes about our conversation, including the quote. When I called back the next day, I spoke with Marisa Litavis, who seemed completely unaware of what Colin and I had discussed. Instead of professionally reviewing the situation, she made an inappropriate comment along the lines of “you know men do not give details,” along with other comments about Colin’s work ethic that I should not have been told as a customer. That was extremely unprofessional. Marisa then gave me a new quote that was over $100 more per month than what Colin quoted me the day before. When I asked why the price was so different, she said they were doing system upgrades and that she would double-check and call me back. When she called back, she said the higher amount was the new price and that Colin’s quote was incorrect. Because of the drastic price difference, I decided to shop around. I found a new policy for my home and auto insurance with another large company. They offered better coverage at a much more affordable price than what I was being quoted by Steve Cannon State Farm. Since the office was already closed, I waited until the next morning to call and cancel my policies. When I spoke with Marisa again and told her I wanted to cancel because I found better and more affordable insurance, her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. I felt mistreated and disrespected. As a Black customer, the way I was spoken to made me feel like I was being treated unfairly. Marisa told me she would cancel the policies and that I should receive cancellation information. Because of her tone and the way the conversation was going, I asked to stay on the line until I received confirmation. She rudely told me to “hold.” Once she came back, I confirmed I received the cancellation information. While I was still speaking, she abruptly said “okay, bye” and hung up while I was mid-sentence. I called back and told her she had hung up on me. She denied it and became argumentative. She also wanted the rate and company name of my new insurer, but at that point, I no longer felt comfortable continuing that discussion. I told her directly that her behavior was rude and unprofessional. I have had my home and two vehicles insured through this State Farm location since I purchased my home in January 2021. As a long-term customer, I expected professionalism, respect, and fairness. Instead, I experienced inconsistent quote information, inappropriate comments about another employee, poor communication, and rude treatment when I chose to move my policies elsewhere. I used to think highly of State Farm, so this experience was very disappointing. I hope State Farm does not condone this type of behavior from any office representing its brand. Steve Cannon State Farm be mindful of your employees and how they treat your customers. Customers should be treated respectfully, even when they choose to make the best financial decision for their household."
